My mom used to put on a John Denver record at night when we were going to sleep and we could hear it from the living room, down the hall to our rooms. Also, being a desert girl, I love the song, "Cool and Green and Shady" (or whatever its real title it) because I could not IMAGINE such a place in real life. To me, it was only in books. So, when I was 11, we took a trip across country and stopped in upstate NY to family and my mom's homeland. I felt that I had stepped into a book where it was cool and green and shady. Now I live in a place that is such...for a few more weeks. <br />Sorry for the long comment...just had to share.Kithttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05976784044504844440noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2657212579203937139.post-67260921685580107762012-06-18T10:07:19.345-04:002012-06-18T10:07:19.345-04:00i feel the same way... glad you got an afternoon t...i feel the same way... glad you got an afternoon to rest up a bit. Thanks about the nasturtiums. When I sit in that chair I catch the scent of them, and it's very pleasant. You have a good eye - the window box is covered with broken crockery. It's years old - a few pieces have fallen off, but it's still holding up very well.Jodihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09934973314360291318noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2657212579203937139.post-20135119096115898842012-06-14T08:07:43.510-04:002012-06-14T08:07:43.510-04:00Sugar Moon, thank you for being a teen as well ha...Sugar Moon, thank you for being a teen as well ha haJodihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09934973314360291318noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2657212579203937139.post-33744511592366768062012-06-14T08:06:30.838-04:002012-06-14T08:06:30.838-04:00Beth, thank you. It just captures the feeling of it. Hope you get a little time to relax in the midst of what I'm sure is a stressful and busy time...
