I'm looking forward to trying your version of the potato leek soup and will definitely try the crispy corn bread tip. I think it has to do with the heavy clay soil we have, even though we compost a lot.Jodihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09934973314360291318noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2657212579203937139.post-70484574673330519992010-01-27T19:58:22.100-05:002010-01-27T19:58:22.100-05:00This looks really really good! I find I have to add something because the leeks tend to give the soup a slight greenish tinge that I don't find appetizing, but that's just me. I'm funny about color. :)Jodihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09934973314360291318noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2657212579203937139.post-83339392493660646362010-01-27T13:03:32.091-05:002010-01-27T13:03:32.091-05:00This is one of my favourite soups, although I only...This is one of my favourite soups, although I only add cream on special occasions. My mother taught me to get the sand and grit out by slitting the leeks lengthwise with the root still on, then holding the leek open, upside down, under a running tap. I imagine we all do what we saw our mothers do!monixhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16631194815411019266noreply@blogger.com
