ReplyDeleteI love that he found the cherry candy in a hatchet, does it taste better from him now, or in your nostalgic memories? I imagine it would taste better now with the added sweetness of the gesture.
ReplyDeleteThat gives me an idea, how marketable do you think candy scalps would be? One could fashion cotton candy or candy floss onto a splotch of chocolate (with some raspberry hard candy for some added effect)...imagine all the American history that can be fashioned from candy! Hmm, perhaps I should start putting out swedish fish and candy corn in celebration of Thanksgiving, that seems more fitting than using candy corn for Halloween. How I do prefer to eat lemon drops off of Chinese stars.
And the kitty drinking coffee is adorable! I love Bron's cookies! she has a gift for making them.

No seriously, the cutwork and smocking on the offwhite blouse offset by the black beneath is so pretty. Combined with the locket and the embroidery work, it is a modern day "portrait,"
minus the lovely face, revealing what the sitter likes to do very much- create, create, create with hands that are not very often idle.
