holy experience

Joining Ann today

Counting blessings

"These I have loved:
White plates and cups, clean-gleaming,
Ringed with blue lines; and feathery, faery dust;
Wet roofs, beneath the lamplight; the strong crust
Of friendly bread; and many-tasting food;
Rainbows; and the blue bitter smoke of wood."

Rupert Brooke

  4. Beautiful, beautiful. Making me smile in the midst of a difficult day.

    Loving that poem. Loving. And Andrew Wyeth. And paisley. And crimson dahlias in blue and white china. And lanterns (I have two EXACTLY like yours sitting atop my oak armoir.)

    And I am comforted and uplifted in the knowledge that you are praying for me. And thankful.

  10. Lovely post and photos! I have the same blue pitcher you do, and an abalone shell. I miss the smell of leaves burning in the fall. This was always a part of my childhood, but it's better for global warming not to do this, I think.

  13. Kim, thank you very much. Most everything in our home has been thrift shopped, flea marketed, or dare I say, trash picked. Not ashamed, heehee. It's fun. Beauty from the discarded.
