i adore late nights with too much candy and good conversations. I love your lists. Beautiful my friend, as always.
sounds amazing. wish we could all have a retreat together. can you imagine the conversations we would have? :)
There's nothing like that feeling of coming home after a really great retreat! Great list!
wonderful. reminds me of christian campus fellowship and my friends there in college.x
I think you should go on more retreats, draw more cool stuff, then post it here so we can all see what you've done. That would make me very happy.
Your woodland prayer closet = Vicki's dream home! How awesome your adventure/retreat.
And yes, what Amy said! Let me know when you have it all planned out and I will come. :)
sounds and looks LOVELY.
Sounds restorative on every level. Blessed time.
How amazing,i am looking forward to 5 days in the company of 2,000 other christians (maybe not so peacefull, but the worship is fantastic)
Love your list. This looks just like the little Chapel my husband and I were married in!
oh the beauty found here... yes, His reflection can only be... beautiful :)
I came from Ann’s today.
And amen –nothing like a retreat with godly people. And praise – he inhabits praise. And I l heart that A shaped building. My favorite from your list today, by the way, is 343 - coming home a different person (more like Our Lord I'm thinking:)
This was so good. Thank you. God Bless.
How lovely..
long ago I went here
http://www.charneymanor.demon.co.uk/
for a weekend..I still have fond memories and
I can still picture the miniature cyclamen growing round the base of the trees..beautifully pure and clean and magical (in a good way :0) )
Val, that must've been enchanting. I've only seen cyclamen as potted house plants, never in the wild. I had one once that lived for years in a pot on my dining room table. It was fushia in color and gave off the faintest of fragrance. I loved it.
Vicki and Amy, I'd love to be on a retreat with you girls. <3
How wonderful! Love those retreats, and oh how we all need them!
Oh, I love the A frama!
Retreats for me are the kind of thing I never really FEEL like going on, but then I'm so glad when I do go. Glad you had a time away.
And I also heart pens and journals and school supplies in general. :)
that should say A FRAME...
Kit, I get it. :) My kids can attest to how I always grumble while packing, and then come home humbled. They laugh at me. A frama!
Craig, thanks. That's my hope.
the weight of glory -- that's it! that was exactly the phrase i've been looking for to describe my sunday morning experiences of late.
love to you, you wordsmith.
This is beautiful! I'm glad you had some time of refreshing...
Love!
KeLi, the experience, mine too. The phrase weight of glory--Paul, 2 Corinthians 4:17, and C.S. Lewis; but borrowed by me. You probably knew that already. :)
Glad you had a good time of fellowship and transformation. May your week be filled with continued blessings.
Coming home a different person! Makes anything worth it, doesn't it? But when it's a time of fellowship with ones we love, it's even better! Thank you for a beautiful list today!
i am late in reading gratitude posts, but love this one. the changing... so good, even when it's eustace-scales coming off, eh?
and i had to giggle over at leslies that you saw the circus peanuts on the way home.
I love 341 too. It would be great after a woodland retreat!
renewal is good for the soul...so glad for you that you had this opportunity...
xo
What a lovely place just to be.
I see your charm. It is lovely!
Sounds like such a peaceful and refreshing retreat.
The idea of a woodland prayer closet... well it sounds too wonderful :)
Blessings for the rest of your week.
I am absolutely intrigued by that little chapel in the woods. It looks like Heaven to me. Glad you are back refreshed and rejuvinated.
Can I move into that A-Frame?
sigh.
