We are the joy

"...who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God." (Hebrews 12:2) Amazing love - amazing grace.

Not yet! Jesus is praying in agony tonight in the Garden of Gethsemane for us. The greatest intercessory prayer ever prayed on our behalf. Tonight, after his last supper with his closest friends, he must wrestle with the agony of facing immenent death, shame, mockery, beatings and conquering Satan in the depths of hell.
Tonight, if Jesus chooses not to die on the cross tomorrow, we will be required to live life without hope, to die an eternal death, and to never know the greatest act of love ever done on our personal behalf.

It's one of those verses that boggle the mind. Who? Me? I'm the joy?
I was reading that we shall judge angels, and it was another, "Who the heck does HE think I am?" moment...I mean, not the noble, and wise...but he loves me and I am HIS. I'm going to celebrate now. Because, His work is finished, but my work is not...and my job is to be light in the world.
