Acorn-girl! Been waiting to see your arts and crafts linked here. I'm all about Isaiah these days and love, love, love barenaked faith. And I love your pastel of the same. Multitudes of hugs.
Nancy, <3 thanks
i am thankful for your talents and your stewardship; reflecting Him. your art drawing the eyes of my heart to The Source :)
so beautiful. I rarely delve into my pastels, but you are inspiring me! :)
I love pastels. Beautiful work Jodi. I have a thing about trees and yours are lovely my dear!Very nice post!
i also have a thing w/ trees and love barenaked faith. it's quite trembly sometimes, istn' it, that kind of faith?lovely art and words and insight here, jodi.
Jodi,Beautiful work, so soothing and calming. I so enjoy seeing your creations, getting a glimpse of what you were created to do...lovely.Blessings,Kara
thank you all for the encouragement. I'm not so happy that the scanner couldn't pick up all the colors, but that's imperfectly okay. :)
I, too, love that last one. "bare-naked faith." Says it all...
I love the second one especially. What beautiful art work Jodi.I just had my kids work on canvas with oil pastels for the first time today. My son did Spiderman and my daughter did one of her holding a cat beside the tree in our front yard (although hers is not yet done).
you are so good. i used to do a lot of pastel work when i was a kid. i actually have a brand new box that i purchased a long time ago ...just waiting.and i LOVE trees, and probably Isaiah too but I haven't read much of that yet. I just have so many things to work on! xo
Loved this. <><
you completely get me every time.( and I'm jealous of your art talent in a nice blog love way ;) )
Oh I'm so glad you are not asking us to choose our favourite. They are all so beautiful and calm. Although as a winter baby, I think I'm attracted most to the sharpness of Winter. See, you didn't ask, but I still couldn't resist choosing!
first of all i LOVE that you are sharing your art here. and i LOVE barenaked faith, especially. absolutely gorgeous. but most of all i love how you turned art into a prayer. for me, that is what my relationship with God is. one big messy painting that i know one day, will be a masterpiece, but for now, well, it's unfinished. love to you, dear sister. e.
Awwww . . . bare naked faith . . . what I so need! The paintings are so lovely and filled with words. THANK YOU for sharing! It's my first time visiting you & joining Imperfect Prose.
You walk with the same 'bare naked faith' beautiful art and words, cheers, joanny
barenaked faith is both my favourite new phrase and painting of your series.
Your pastels are gorgeous, and that verse from Isaiah...breathtaking. So grateful to have stopped by this morning. Read your post about your period clothing and your job -- that is the coolest!
