This has been one roller coaster of a week. From the serious to the silly, I have SO MUCH to be thankful for. My first girl had her first girl in the land of the long white cloud- NZ. Being that they are 17 hours ahead of us, I got my times mixed up. I thought she had been in labor for 24 hours when in actuality it had been 39. All is well. While waiting for news of the new baba, I was also waiting on results of a biopsy I had to have for two lumps found on my person. Got the news Friday - benign. All is well. Also, I received a package of happy in the mail from the new mommy - a beautiful tunic and my favorite lollies - yippeeee!
Thank you Lord for new babies, safe deliveries, all those who took the time to call and text to keep us posted as labor progressed, pictures taken by Uncle Euan, the prayers of faithful friends, sheep that make merino wool, and lollipops. It is well with my soul.

"How beautiful, upon the mountains........"
Congratulations on this beautiful little girl, and all your good news! So happy for you all.
Kristi, thank you, my friend.
beautiful, amazing. (and yes, i cannot believe how amazing she looks after 39 hours of labor- that is insane! she must be one strong woman like her mama.) and so so grateful that all has turned out well with you my friend. such a week to smile on.
oh, and i will hug joann for you. i think we are looking at about 3 hugs right now. one for me, one for you and one for nancy. anyone else, let me know.
And I will hug Amy.
And I can't believe that was after 39 hours of labor, she looks like a movie star. I don't say it lightly. AMAZING.
Congratulations.
What fabulous news, all the way around. Cheers to you from your reader over here in Zurich. The tunic looks very nice, by the way.
Just wondering - when do you get to meet this darling baby in person? I know what it's like to live far from family, but you win the prize.
God bless you and your family.
I am so glad to read of the safe delivery of the baby and your safe delivery from those lumps! What an anxious time for all of you. Your daughter and the little one look gorgeous, despite their long ordeal and you look super in the tunic. Lots of blessings to count today.

Oh Jodi, what a lot going on. I'm so glad the lumps were benign...praise God. And your daughter...wow. She is strong and GORGEOUS! Not to mention to GORGEOUS little person they made! I'm praying for you, as I know you are wishing you were with that baby to snuggle her!
Wow. You've had a week, haven't you? Congratulations on the sweet new grandbaby. I love her name! Thankful the lumps were benign.
I love Chupa Chups. What's your favorite flavor?
Oh good grief! You were dealing with lumps while waiting for that beautiful baby girl halfway around the world? I'm exhausted just thinking about this after the fact. Can't wait to see you soon. So happy to know that a whole lotta hugging is going to be going on this week!
This post makes me really happy. Joy and Tilly are so beautiful, and you are just plain ELEGANT, my dear, in your new merino wool vest. I might be just a teeny bit jealous of that vest. It's really really super gorgeous. Tilly and her mom give good presents :)
Southern gal, c-o-l-a cola. :)
Susan, soon I hope! do you have a blog? I would like to visit.
totally excellent news !!!!!
how does she look so great after 39 hours?????
I'm so sorry you had all that worry about your health and so glad you are now free from that over whelming cloud of dread! Yippeee
with love
Ohhh, little Tilly :) She and Joy look beautiful! I like her name, too... it has that British storybook feeling. And my goodness, Joy makes some amazing tunics - you look lovely in it!
P.S. Your comment on my blog made me laugh out loud because it reminded me so much of me and Mom... that part about feeling like the Angelina Jolie version of Beowulf is a personal insult to you and the book? We always feel that way about terrible movie-versions-of-favorite-books! haha. :) Speaking of which, they really need to do a nice version of "Beowulf."
Emily, Joy will fall over laughing when she reads this. She "bought" the tunic at Glassons, our favorite girly-girl shop in NZ. And yes, a nice version of Beowulf would be great.
yay...congrats! :) we went to a homestead last week and i thought of you! :)
mountain mama
Hello Jodi - sadly I do not blog. I am a better reader than I am writer! I'm not sure how I found you -- could be my love for all things "acorny" - or perhaps via another beloved blog. Switzerland is a beautiful place and by rights I should start writing about it. I'll have to give it some thought. Meanwhile, thanks for blogging.
congratulations! what fun sharing in the joys of His blessings of you & yours :)
You have so much to be thankful for! I'm sharing in your joy today. The mama looks fantastic! Congrats!
Tilly is a DOLL! Congratulations! And thank GOD for the clean bill of health. Celebrating all your joys and how smashing you look in your new tunic!
Your tunic is even more beautiful when considering these wonderful blessings you'll always associate with it. Beautiful baby and mama~joyful congratulations to you! Merciful diagnosis of benign. All is well and rejoicing!

Oh my. So much. Dearest Jodi. I do thank God for these blessings along with you. And, I thank Him for *you*. I'm so glad you're here--in the world, and in MY world. And that the lumps were found to be benign. So very, very thankful for that. I wish that you could be with Joy and Tilly now, but pray for your peace and patience. That Jesus will fill in and up the aching separation spaces. Your wool tunic is delicious, and you are beautiful. Did you know that Katie gifted me with the little squirrel and acorn? They are here, and keep me company, reminding me of you every single day. Much love from here. Melissa J.
Oh my, you do have tons to smile about! Congratulations on your new little Tilly (love the name)and a good biopsy report. I'm so happy to rejoice and give thanks with you, Jodi.
Can't help but being so grateful all the time this week for you, Jodi! Coupled with a double sense of joy for Joy and Rhys and lucky Miss Tilly! xoxox! ring a ling ding!
Three generations of beautiful women are gleaming in these pics, and a set of smitten- in- love parents!
So thankful for all the good gifts the Lord has delivered, after MUCH labor and loads of faith.
Love the tunic and you in it! I was trying to describe one of your sweaters to Audrey the other day, and her response was, "All of Mrs. Lenzez clothes are pretty!"
Love and Congrats,
Joan et al
Congratulations on the new grandbaby - she's beautiful! And so glad to hear that your tests came back okay.... such a relief. Love the tunic! God bless...

Blessings dear friend!!!
oh i love her name!! congratulations beautiful grandma!
Oooohhh, Jodi! I am so very happy for you and your family! Tilly is beautiful, and so is her strong mama. I love the line in "Gone With the Wind" after Scarlett has the baby and Melanie says to Mammy, "Oh, yes, Mammy. The happiest days are when babies come." Yes they are.
And I am saying a prayers of thanks for your clear biopsy results, my friend.
