"Godly love endures beyond life's hurts by pulling us relentlessly toward the never-diminishing care of the Father."
Bill Crowder
I'm not eager for your wounds,
But I know they are faithful.
Putting self to death
And my heart full-blown will live again
Like a tulip in the doorway of your house.

Your pastel and words touched my heart! Have a special holy week, and I agree, GOOD Friday....the day the stone was rolled away, perfect!!
Jodi, your pastel is wonderful!
Love and blessings,

Beautiful, Jodi, the words and the painting both. Yes, I too am so grateful for His relentless love...
We sang the hymn, "Lift High the Cross," on Sunday, and I'm always struck by the line: "Oh Lord, once lifted on that glorious tree..."
Glorious? I feel the same way about Good Friday--the day of ugliness and violence that was oh, so good in God's crazy, upside-down, paradoxical kingdom.
Love seeing your art. Always. Love. It.
i always feel fed when i visit here.
I love the poem and the painting.
I love your header too. SO cute!!
"...like a tulip in the doorway of your house." What wonderful imagery! And, with you, I'm so grateful for God's relentless love.
I am grateful you reposted this Jodi.
I always seem to see with new eyes . Thanks be to God indeed.
Very, very beautiful. Have a blessed Holy week and Easter!
Such beauty here.
Him.
His life.
His love.
Through you,
Your words,
Your works,
Your ways.
I love you, {dear J~Bee},
And miss you.
And I'm thinking of you
And praying, each day
"His {moment-by-moment}
Never-diminishing care" xo
So perfect,
Your poem, and painting.
So good of you to share,
Your heart
And the preciousness it holds.
The eyes are so expressive. And I love this, "Like a tulip in the doorway of your house."
