It's the little things

holy experience

Counting blessings

I want to start off by saying thank you dear friends for the expressions of condolence at the passing of my stepfather last week. Your taking time to write meant a lot to me. Bless you. It's the little things that mend our hearts and turn our eyes to all that we can be grateful for.

141 - In New Zealand where my daughter lives, someone got the idea to make a massive Mother's Day card from post-it notes. Anyone who wanted to could post a note to their mom (or mum)

142 - photos taken by our future son-in-law Rhys

143 - my honeylamb

144 - *sniff*

145 - clean windows, or letting the light in

146 - favorite seeds

147 - a bouquet of love from my church family

148 - youngest daughter's repertoire

149 - my exceedingly attractive 18th century workshoes (don't hate me 'cause they're beautiful - lol)

150 - perspective

151 - view from my bedroom window

Happy Mum's Day! Your children are blessed!
(Real mom's wash windows, wear pilgrim shoes one day/ crocs the next, love their families, near and far.)

I love your shoes. They look like they are on the wrong feet. :D Are they the kind that are exactly the same and will eventually mold to your feet? Happy Belated Mother's Day.

Amy Danielle, I tried to leave a comment on your blog but wasn't able to. Hopefully you'll see this one so I can thank you.

Rayanne, thanks for your comment. Joan is my friend, not my daughter hehe. Joy is my daughter and yes, she is far away in New Zealand, but I will get to see her soon. And my younger daughter thanks you for the compliment!

Looking forward to the wedding ... and your youngest looks even more gorgeous while playing the keys! Just sayin' ...

Those Prettiful Shoes: Is the "molding" of the shoes a daily event or an evolving which culminates in a left/right shoe?

Hope your day was lovely yesterday, Mum! Does that make you a Jodi-flower? What would a Jodi-flower look like? Hmm ... I'll leave that in your capable, artsy hands ...

Jodi said...

Yes Rosie, molding culminates in a left-right shoe. Or is supposed to--I've been waiting a LONNGG, long time. It's not a daily event as they are a part of your work uniform and I don't work everyday. well, I do work everyday, but not at the farm! :)

Of course! I'm thinking too technical and not 18th century. Let's see - what material would mold on a daily basis? (Open mouth, insert foot with moldable shoe ...)

that wall is really cool, and the fact that one of those post-its was your very own! :)

and the shoes... :)

150 is awesome... where is that?

I hope you had a most blessed Mother's day...

Hi Amy, #150 is an 18th century, living history museum and a working farm. I teach school children there.

ok so, I love this.
Your list is super. Funny and peaceful. Do you realize how hard it is to be peaceful AND funny?

Also, are morning glories an annual? Because, I need to know. Does it depend on the zone?
You are quickly becoming my gardening reference. I don't even REALLY know if you can garden...I haven't found pics of your yard yet...for all I know you are buying seeds to eat them. Tee hee.
I jest. I know you from your posts. I KNOW YOU!
You are flowery indeed.

JoAnn, I love your comments. My method of gardening is to put things in the ground and hope for the best! God in His mercy has allowed this to work for me

so far. I think morning glories are annuals. One thing I know about them for sure is that you have to soak the seeds overnight before you plant them, and that

they need something to climb on. I plant mine in a huge pot with a trellis thingy stuck in it. My next post will be about gardening...stay tuned.

*sniff* here, too. i cannot imagine a day when mine will be allowed to go to "the bottom of the world." he's not even allowed to the bottom of the driveway ... what a sweet sentiment.

KeLi, it's God's grace alone. Thank you.
