When I think upon my God, my heart is so full of joy
that the notes dance and leap from my pen;
And since God has given me a cheerful heart,
it will be pardoned me that I serve Him with a cheerful spirit."
Franz Joseph Haydn

Lovely quote, lovely list of thanks. Your words and photos make me happy : )
Those apples do look like something from a fairy tale! Love the Austen quote, too - eat a slice of that wondrous pie for me, will you?
P.S. Didn't make the metal heart - posted more info about it in comments...
yum! this post makes me happy!
my mom grew up in michigan and to hear her talk of changing leaves and visiting apple mills... fall is the only time of year i think to live "up north" would be enchanting!! those apples are lovely and i can only imagine biting them fresh! here in texas we have avocados and acorn squash all set out in the markets, and it makes me scratch my head a bit! :)
i love the sea glass/hands photo. lovely indeed.
and austen. mmmmmm
I DID watch the Sherlock Holmes on Mystery last night. I liked it a lot. How about you? (Loved Watson - my Emily tells me he'll be playing Bilbo in the Hobbit movie. Wasn't sure about Sherlock - his hair put me off a bit - but I think he was okay.) Thought they did a good job of modernizing it without losing the SH touches - and I loved the humor...
Ummm, you DID ask for a full page review, didn't you? ; )
fairy tale apples :)
picture and prose for my dreams :)
Jodi, I love the quote so much. I want to be cheerful, too!
I love your lists.
Please continue to dare to be different. And to quote Jane Austen. Then I will be a happy woman.
Leslie, yes, watched it; yes, loved it. Can't wait for The Hobbit, too! :)
Misty, yes, autumn up-north is enchanting. I don't think I could live anywhere that didn't have this season.
lovely, as always. I love your wind-swept treasures! Blessings!
Delightful as always. Those apples are crazy!
those apples look indeed breath-taking...wonder if it was that sort of apples in garten eden...
and the haydn lines were beautiful
I love the Jane Austen quote! : ) And sea glass... how I wish we had sea glass here....
The apple pie looks dark. Is it the black apples that provide the colour? I've not seen black apples before. Intriguing. Love the pumpkin.
You are so faithful to post your thankfulness every Monday.
It's comforting to know you will be posting happiness/thanksgiving every week. I always look forward.
Thanks friend!
Lovely pictures. Each one seemed to take me off into another direction. I need a little distraction these days.......
I can't seem to get enough of the fall colours this year. Ontario is similar to Michigan in that regard. It's glorious.
That apple pie looks like art.
Cheryl, dark for 2 reasons: 1. I'm a lousy photographer, lol! 2. Dark brown sugar crumb topping. The apples are gorgeous, aren't they? There's an orchard near us that grows over 75 varieties of heirloom apples, some going as far back as the 1600's.
Kristi, you're right--this post was all over the place! Teehee! Glad to provide a distraction. I hope you're doing well.
Nice pictures and wonderful blessings!! I love your name( I have a daughter named Jodi) same spelling....
Thank you, Cindybrown.
Apple pies are among the best things in the world of food, that's for sure...
