And carry on

"It is no bad thing to celebrate a simple life." So says Bilbo Baggins in the LOTR movie. And being a hobbit of the Tookish sort, I agree.

I like coconut creme pie better than most people. But I like you better than most people, too, my hobbit-ish friend.

P.S. Thinking of you this week--planning to swing away on a project. Could strike out big time, but it feels wrong not to swing.

Beautiful pictures. Great blessings! I like the decoration of the planter and the lovely sort of pansies growing there.

The bread looks yummy, the flower box beautiful. Glad you had a Tookish kind of adventure, the roadside cafe looks like a cool place and the coconut cream pie, the last picture explains it all :-). Have a great week!

Kristi and Rachel, thank you! I made that planter years ago, by gluing pieces of old dishes and what-not that my children broke over the years. :)

Leslie, that cafe was so cool. We found it accidentally on a mountain road in Central PA. It was at the back of a very ordinary farm market. A hidden treasure.

Dog gone it. I had a shot at coconut cream pie on Saturday, and I passed it up. Look, and yours is gone too. Now where am I going to get me a piece of that pie?
Yes, celebrate the simple life, love that quote at the beginning. And your list. So full of life and adventure, in a simple sort of way, of course:)

How timely. Ethan and I just finished listening to The Hobbit on CD. I had never read it. And now I can say I understand your references here.
