Just checking in...

Hey everyone!

We've been busy adoring the latest grandchild in the land of the long white cloud (New Zealand).

Will be catching up to all your lovely blogs tomorrow!

I want to thank my most talented son-in-law Rhys who created the new look on my blog. You can visit his photography website at www.rhyslakephotography.com

See you soon xx

Your new header truly captures your inner hobbit, I believe. Soak up your time, dear friend. Let your baby girl and Miss Tilly love on you for all you're worth.

Love the new picture! It fantastic! By the way, he doesn't update his website with new portfolio pics enough, but his two most used models are quite captivating.

I agree with Drew, let us know who wins the Bowl cause I've got some bets to hedge...paying off school loans and all, ya know...

{JODI} You are adorable in the extreme. The header is PERFECT. I am getting a ridiculous amount of vicarious happiness from your little checkins from a far away land. Knowing you're drinking deep from the well of daughterly and granddaughterly (and son-in-law...ly?) presence makes me so glad. And, hello, palm branchy flora! Much love and continued prayers for you and yours. M.J.

And tell Joy to update her blog...it's not a blog if you're not blogging!

Love the new look! That header picture is amazing, though I'm sure the little one getting your smooches wins the amazing award! Happy for you with all those hugs.

I love love love your new blog design.

Okay so I'm very excited you're coming back. You seem so far away right now...even though you're always far away. You wouldn't happen to have another layover coming down the pipe would you? The children aren't sick anymore....:)

Your granddaughter is adorable. I know you're loving every minute of your visit and I wish many more upon you and your family

Love the colonial looking header photo. Only needs a tray of more tea to come in and its complete. And the baby photo. Too gorgeous.

Is that Turkish Delight?? In the picture, I mean?

Jodi said...

Melissa, no, it's a Lammington, a sponge cake with jam inside. Heavenly.

Loving that star-spangled couch! Must be owned by some pretty leeeegandary people ;) ...Although I am a very unbiased source on this matter, I think your new look is wonderful! I especially love having you on my couch and in my garden and kissing Princess Tilly in person <3

Almost too wonderful to be true. To wake up on the other side of the world with your daughter and her daughter at arms reach! Many Blessings on the long longed for reunion.
All here in this house LOVE the new header (and the lady in it!); Rhys, talented indeed!
And the sofa upholstery,
thine lady's dress, the teacake, teatable, the exotic NZ foliage, the time standing stillness with a giggle on it's face.
Please give a kiss to the wee lass for us.

Hoping you guys are having an incredible time in the land of the long white cloud! (What is it you're reading in your new header? And is that a slice of some yummy New Zealand cake on the plate?)
